All members of ICE staff are approved by City and Guilds and hold all the relevant qualifications. We follow all guidelines, rules and regulations outlined by City and Guilds. An external verifier visits us twice yearly to ensure we are meeting City and Guilds standards.
Working with children is one of the most challenging but rewarding of career choices. ICE is offering this course to anyone who wishes to pursue a career in childcare regardless of experience, race, gender or age.
The diploma in Children’s Care, Learning and Development is aimed at
nursery assistants, crèche and playgroup workers and special needs
assistants working in a supporting role.
The advanced diploma in Children’s Care, Learning and Development is
aimed at childminders, day-care supervisors, nursery nurses and teaching assistants.
City
& Guilds is a household name – in fact, according to a recent
Consumer Survey*, one in five households has a City & Guilds qualification.
We were established over 125 years ago to encourage education and training
in and for the workplace. City & Guilds is the leading vocational awarding
body in the UK, awarding almost 50% of all National Vocational Qualifications
(NVQs). As the only awarding body solely dedicated to vocational learning,
we offer companies worldwide a recognized skills benchmark.
There are more than 8,500 approved City & Guilds centres throughout the
world offering more than 500 qualifications in almost all sectors- from agriculture
to hairdressing and beauty; from IT to vehicle maintenance – and awarding
over a million certificates every year. We also have a range of qualifications
in essential skills such as numeracy, communications and literacy.
Qualifications are available at all levels from entry to the highest levels
of professional ability.

Training opportunities are limited for non-Spanish speaking students living in Spain. The International Training Group is committed to providing quality vocational courses which are recognised world-wide through City and Guilds, an Examining and Accreditation Board established since 1880. Work-placements through ITG provide students with hands on experience in their chosen career whilst our qualified Assessors and Verifiers cover all assessment and monitoring aspects necessary for success. We are working in partnership with ICE supporting their commitment to provide high quality teaching and learning in the field of childcare with the City and Guilds qualifications. All the assessors and verifiers for ICE are provided through ITG. We welcome students of all ages and nationalities although a good level of spoken and written English is a requirement. You will find our course fees very competitive!
